Are you a senior public relations practitioner able to produce first-class press releases, opinion editorials, and media pitches as well as manage complex issues? Are you looking to use these skills to support an organisation making a real difference to the future of people and our planet?

We are looking to recruit a Senior PR Manager, who can support us in our mission to safeguard the oceans and seafood supplies for future generations.

We work with fisheries, retailers, and NGOs across the world to incentivise and support sustainable fishing. Our ‘blue fish’ ecolabel gives seafood consumers an easy way to help safeguard our oceans.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in an international not-for-profit helping to address one of the biggest challenges on the sustainable development agenda – how to feed a growing population while also protecting our oceans.

Our Senior PR Manager will play a vital role in building awareness and understanding of the MSC and sustainable fishing. You’ll have the opportunity to work on complex and topical issues, working with high-profile international organisations, scientists, and media. You’ll work with colleagues in more than 16 countries to provide them with the materials, skills, and tools needed to develop effective PR campaigns. You’ll also provide a central point for managing international risks to our reputation, preparing and coordinating responses to criticism.

We’re looking for a skilled communicator, who is used to dealing with complex issues. As well as having an eye for a story and experience developing proactive media opportunities, you will:

  • be comfortable managing organisation-wide responses to criticism;
  • have strong networking skills and be able to keep a cool head in a rapidly developing situation;
  • have a background or strong interest in conservation or environmental issues.

Above all, you will be proactive, collegiate, curious, organised, and motivated to use your skills to make a difference.
