Are you passionate about EU policy and sustainability - and ready to help shape the future of responsible fisheries and food systems? If so, this could be the opportunity for you!

Working at the MSC means being at the heart of EU policymaking, contributing to meaningful change that supports sustainable oceans and responsible consumption.

This is an entry-level role and you will play a key role in tracking and influencing important legislative developments: from consumer protection and eco-labelling to fisheries and sustainable food systems. You will collaborate with colleagues across Europe and engage with EU institutions and stakeholders and help ensure that policy decisions align with the MSC’s mission.

Based in our Brussels office at the centre of the EU institutional landscape, this hybrid role offers the chance to combine impactful work with a flexible, supportive environment and strong opportunities for professional growth.

We are looking for someone who brings:

  • An understanding of EU policymaking processes, with the ability to analyze and clearly communicate complex legislative developments.
  • Excellent organizational and coordination skills, with experience managing multiple priorities and delivering high-quality outputs to tight deadlines.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with confidence supporting meetings and building relationships across institutions and sectors.
  • A keen interest or experience in sustainability, fisheries, food systems, or environmental policy (desirable but not essential)

If you are excited by the opportunity to contribute to EU policy that drives real-world impact, we would love to hear from you.

The MSC’s vision is for the world’s oceans to be teeming with life, and seafood supplies safeguarded for this and future generations.  Today, the impacts of overfishing and climate change pose an even greater threat to the ocean and fish stocks. Through our internationally recognised certification and ecolabeling program, well-managed sustainable fisheries are recognised and rewarded throughout the seafood supply chain. Over 700 fisheries around the world, representing 19% of the annual global marine catch, are now engaged in the MSC program and MSC certified and labelled seafood products are now available in over 66 countries. Through partnerships and collective endeavour, we are on a mission to end overfishing.
